At Siskiyou Credit Union, we want your kids to learn the importance of savings early - so they can be financially fit when they are older.

SCU has three accounts that can help your child learn the financial skills they’ll need and have fun doing it!

School Savings Youth Account

Our School Savings Youth Account is perfect for your elementary student, this account is in their name and teaches them about the importance of saving! SCU even makes a special trip to participating elementary schools for a fun “Bank Day” where they can make a deposit and watch their money grow!

  • Dividends earned with $100 average daily balance
  • Make deposits at school during Bank Week

  • Participating Schools for 2023-2024 school year include: Montague, Grenada, and Willow Creek

Kids Savings Account

An SCU Kids Account is for youth 12 years of age or younger. These accounts offer more flexibility than our School Savings Accounts and must have a parent or guardian on the account with the junior member.

  • $5 Membership fee waived
  • No annual fees
  • Dividends earned with $100 average daily balance
  • ATM Card

  • ATM Withdrawals (SCU ATMs only)

Teen Accounts

Teach your teen about saving money from allowance or a part time job! With a savings or checking account you can teach your teen about budgeting, balancing a checkbook, responsible spending, and more! Teen accounts are for teens 13-17 and must have a parent or guardian on the account with the Teen Member.
